REGISTRATION ENDS FEB. 9 (added Feb. 5, 2003)
For new or returning bowlers, registration closes on Sunday, Feb. 9.

CHANGE OF TIME (added Jan. 29, 2003)
Bowling will begin at 12 noon on March 2 and March 9. Try to arrive 15 minutes early so that bowling can begin on time. Thanks!

WEEK ONE - JANUARY 5, 2003
We welcomed 7 new bowlers and their families, and enjoyed seeing many familiar faces from other seasons. For rosters and weekly scores click HERE.

AWARDS DAY & PIZZA PARTY
SUNDAY MARCH 30, 2003; 12:00 - 2:30 p.m.

Location: Cheshire Parks and Recreation, 559 South Main St., Rte. 10, Cheshire, CT. For those families who have bowled with us before, this is the same location as last year (same location, new name)

DATES ANNOUNCED FOR WINTER BOWLING! (added December 15, 2002)
Our 12th season will begin in January--twelve weeks of bowling, followed by our annual Awards Day and Pizza Party. Print out the registration form, fill out, and mail to Rick Held. Can't wait!!

DATES FOR FALL BOWLING LEAGUE(edited 9/20/02)
The six-week Fall League will begin Sept. 22 and end Oct. 27, 2002. See you there!

THANKS TO ALL! (added 4/22/02)
We had a full house for the Awards Day and Pizza Party-- over 100 bowlers, friends and family menbers enjoyed a grand get-together. Trophies were presented and prizes were awarded; the Grand Prize of a custom-drilled bowling ball and bag was won by Jamie R. We are so happy for you, Jamie, and we will hope to see you using your prize at bowling next fall.

AWARDS DAY UPDATE (added 4/08/02)
We have reservations for more than 100 bowlers and family members! The Harmon Leonard Youth Center is spacious and welcoming, and there is plenty of parking.
We'll all enjoy:
seeing friends old and new,
helping ourselves from the 40' pizza buffet,
the awarding of the trophies,
and the special raffles, including one for a custom-drilled bowling ball and bag.

Return your RSVP by email or US mail by Sunday, March 31. Remember, there is NO bowling on March 31 - Happy Easter! Last day of bowling is Sunday, April 7.

FLYERS DISTRIBUTED FOR AWARDS DAY & PIZZA PARTY (added 3/13/02)
Flyers were distributed to each family at bowling on Sunday, March 10. Please fill out the response portion and return to Rick H. Indicate how many from your family will be attending (siblings welcome!), and what party supplies and/or food you will be able to bring. (You will be reimbursed for your costs).

AWARDS DAY & PIZZA PARTY (added 3/5/02)
Our annual awards day celebration will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2002 from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. at the Harmon Leonard Youth Center, 559 South Main Street (Route 10), Cheshire CT (next to to Cheshire High School). Trophies will be awarded, and we will all enjoy a pizza party! Directions will be provided.

T-SHIRT DAY IS SUNDAY, MARCH 3 (added 2/28/02)
T-shirts and sweatshirts (whichever you ordered) will be distributed on Sunday, March 3.

League Member in the News (added 2/28/02)
Our league member Robert H. and his dad, Rick H. were guests of the Make-A-Wish Foundation at the Super Bowl on Feb. 3. (for photo, click HERE)

Temporary Change of Personnel: (added 2/16/02)
On Sunday, February 17 John Rowinski will be collecting money and assigning lanes as Rick Held will not be able to attend.

CHESHIRE CHALLENGERS LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL (added 01/20/02)
Registration for The Cheshire Challengers Little League 2002 Season will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2002, at The Cheshire Library between the hours of 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. A $30.00 registration fee is required at the time of registration. Medical forms must be returned before the season begins. A Medical form and copy of Birth Certificate are required for all new players. A medical form is required every second year for all Returning Players. GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT (added 12/10/01)
Try to arrive by 3:15 p.m. so we can start on time. Weekly dues are collected by Rick Held. Exact change is appreciated. Stop at the front desk, get your bowling shoes, and go to your assigned lane. Be ready to begin bowling at 3:30 p.m.! If you arrive late, you may have to wait until the second game to bowl. Please be considerate of others and arrive on time.

WINTER 2002 DATES ANNOUNCED (added Dec. 10, 2001)
The Winter League begins Sunday, January 13, and runs for 12 weeks, thru April 7, 2002. There is no bowling on March 31 (Easter Sunday), and the Awards Day & Pizza Party is April 14, 2002.

Next week we will not be bowling so our families can celebrate their holiday. We are also getting ready for our Awards Day & Pizza Party on April 14.

WEEK TEN - MAR. 17
Happy St. Patrick's Day to all our bowlers. Oh dear, only two more weeks of bowling!! Then we'll have a week off on Easter Sunday, and get together again for the grand AWARDS DAY & PIZZA PARTY. Remember to return your RSVP to Rick H., thanks

WEEK NINE - MAR. 10
We met this week at 12:00 noon for bowling, and it was so nice to see so many bowlers wearing their new "lucky" league shirts.

WEEK EIGHT - MAR. 3
T-SHIRT DAY!! Shirts and sweatshirts featuring a beautiful new logo (designed by Stephanie) were distributed. Wear your official shirt to bowling each week!

WEEK SEVEN - FEB. 24
Although some of our families were absent probably due to Presidents' Week vacation, our bowlers had another fun time.

WEEK SIX - FEB. 17
Thanks to John Rowinski for collecting $$ and assigning lanes today. For those with the week off from school: have a great vacation and see you all next week!

WEEK FIVE - FEB. 10
This week we had another great turnout. We were pleasantly surprised by some high scores, especially by those bowling on lanes without the bumpers.

Thanks to Kyle Neilson who took over the administrative duties for the day (while Robert and Rick H. were attending the SUPER BOWL!)

WEEK THREE - JAN. 27

The morning snow didn't slow us up, and almost everyone managed to get to bowling on time. Remember, please plan to arrive by 3:15 p.m. so that you are ready to begin bowling at 3:30 p.m.
